Itinerary details
Day 1 - 4x4 King Crab Route with Lunch in Puerto Almanza
We begin an experience filled with mysticism, landscape, adventure, and, without a doubt, themed cuisine in the best indigenous style. We'll travel along Route 3 to Route J, where we'll begin our journey through the forest. Our first stop is a delicious breakfast at Laguna Victoria, an ancestral site where you'll feel the energy of our Yámana people who navigated the area more than 8,000 years ago.
We'll then continue along Route J to the junction with the road leading to Puerto Almanza. We'll descend at Puerto Brown to view the impressive Beagle Channel, the area where Fuegian spider crabs are born and raised. Upon arriving in Puerto Almanza, we'll have lunch at one of the restaurants serving typical local dishes, based on fish, seafood, and spider crab.
After lunch, we'll set off along the King Crab Route, enjoying the distinct, pristine landscape of the Beagle Channel, with a forest that runs right up to the banks of its watercourse, occasionally appearing through the branches of the lenga trees. The trip is complemented by a beautiful hike to Duende Waterfall.
Finally, we'll take a tour of the town and learn the techniques of king crab fishing along the sensational "Ruta de la Centolla," where the Beagle Channel stands out like an imposing crystal, bordered by a lenga forest that drops abruptly to the sea. A unique sensation at the ends of the earth!
We'll head to Tolhuin for a delicious dinner and stay in wonderful domes with the best views of the Fuegian skies and Lake Fagnano, warmed by the embers of lenga trees.

Day 02 - Cape San Pablo and Estancia Pirinaica

After breakfast and a visit to the town of Tolhuin and its famous La Unión Bakery, we'll begin our next journey: Cape San Pablo and Estancia Pirinaica. After skirting Lake Fagnano, we'll continue on to the access route to complementary route "A," which will take us more than 40 km to the sea. We'll then arrive at Cape San Pablo. This route winds through picturesque estancias and offers incredible landscapes of hills, lenga forests, rivers, and cliffs that flow into the sea. It's also very common to encounter flocks of sheep, guanacos, foxes, and condors.
One of the main attractions of the day are the estancias located along Complementary Route A. We will visit the authentic Estancia Pirinaica. With nearly 100 years of Patagonian production, it boasts wonderful facilities, which we will explore. We will experience country life, shearing, and work spaces such as the carpentry shop, shearing sheds, the ranch house, and the forest and surroundings of the estancia. We will enjoy a breakfast there, in the estancia's own style, with regional products prepared locally.
After the snack, we will continue to our next attraction, the San Pablo Lighthouse (Depending on the tidal conditions, you may be able to visit the Desdemona ship first and then take the walk to the lighthouse).
We'll reach the top of the cape via a trail. Once at the top, there's the old leaning lighthouse, and off its shores, the rusty hull of the ship "Desdemona," which ran aground there in the early 1980s, giving it a dose of mystery worthy of the End of the World, and a testament to the past of shipwrecks and adventures that followed in the rough southern seas.
At the end of the hike to the lighthouse, we'll head to the Fisherman's House to sample the best "róbalo" recipes, fresh local fish, served with the best recipes from the fishing family. You'll enjoy delicious smoked róbalo empanadas, or seafood empanadas, the house specialty, as well as pizza-style róbalo, unique at the end of the world.
After lunch, amidst anecdotes from the area of influence, we will visit the Desdemona ship, an icon of the region.
After this captivating journey, we will return to Tolhuin, where, in addition to enjoying a delicious dinner overlooking Lake Fagnano, we will stay at a typical inn in Tierra del Fuego province, "Hostería Kaikén."

Day 3 - Lakes by 4x4 with lunch at the Fagnano Lake Refuge

After enjoying the delicious regional breakfast prepared by the inn staff, we'll set off for the third and final adventure tourism experience. 4x4 trucks allow us to reach places that would otherwise be impossible to reach: forests, mud, rocks, and more. Lake Kami or Fagnano amazes us with its size and incredible landscape.
After traveling a few kilometers along National Route 3, we'll begin our one-hour 4x4 tour through the lenga forest and along the old lumberjack trail: a must-see! A tour full of adventure and excitement that ends at the edge of Lake Fagnano.

Thus, our first stop will be Estancia La Carmen, where we'll have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious ham and cheese platter (vegetarian and vegan options available) on the shores of Lake Fagnano, one of the largest lakes in Argentina and South America. Meanwhile, we'll enjoy our lakeside retreat, warmed by the embers, amid anecdotes shared by its owners, direct descendants of pioneer settlers of Tierra del Fuego.

Our guides will surprise us with a delicious barbecue to round out the wonderful surroundings of the ranch.
In addition to using the facilities and restrooms, we'll have time to walk along the lake, enjoy one of the docks, or simply admire the beautiful surroundings while sitting on one of the benches along the lake. The site also has a museum worth exploring, filled with anecdotes and stories about the ancient settlers who shaped the history of Tierra del Fuego.
Now, we continue south, where we'll have the chance to admire Lakes Escondido and Fagnano via the Garibaldi Pass. At this last stop, we'll have time to take panoramic photos and admire the wonders of the highest point of the route in the province, surrounded by the Fuegian Andes.
So in this way, we will return to Ushuaia to finish our three-day 4x4 adventure!
Agulú! Thanks for so much adventure together, and we hope to see you again!
