2. Disclaimer

To avoid any confusion, please verify that your browser displays our prices in Argentine pesos, which is the default currency displayed on this site and the currency in which our services will be billed.

3. Prices Include

  • Transportation as specified in each of the itineraries.
  • Accommodation in the hotels mentioned in the itineraries or similar hotels in the event of force majeure, for which the same category as the reservation will be respected in the latter case.
  • Meal plan as indicated on each occasion.
  • Visits and excursions as mentioned. Transfers to and from airports, terminals, and hotels, where indicated.

4. Documentation and Specific Requirements

For travel abroad, it is necessary to comply with the legislation in force in each case. Documentation and visa requirements are strictly personal, and therefore, it is the passenger's sole responsibility to have their documents and visas in perfect condition and valid, having been duly informed in advance of the requirements imposed by the immigration, customs, and health authorities of the destinations included in the tour. The organizer will not be liable for any inconveniences suffered by passengers who lack valid documentation. If a passenger is unable to travel for these reasons, they will forfeit all contracted services without any right to claim. Passengers are responsible for complying with the mandatory vaccination requirements for countries that require them.

5. Limitations on the Right of Residency

Meridion Travel Company SAS reserves the right to withdraw from the tour at any point if, in the company's judgment, any passenger's conduct, behavior, health condition, or other serious reasons pose a danger or cause inconvenience to other travelers or could jeopardize the success of the tour or its normal operation. In this case, the passenger will be entitled to a refund for any unused tour days, without any other compensation, and will be responsible for any cancellation costs incurred.

6. Cancellation Policy

In the event of cancellations made within 7 days of the service, Meridion Travel Company SAS will refund 100% of the amount paid in Argentine pesos to the customer.

Any user who wishes to contract our services must accept that:
If you cancel between 3 and 6 days before the date of the first booked service, you will receive a refund of 50% of the amount paid in Argentine pesos. The cancellation fee is 50% of the total reservation amount.
If you cancel within two calendar days of the first contracted service date, no refund will be issued. In this case, the cancellation fee is 100% of the amount paid in Argentine pesos.

This policy does not apply to cancellations or rescheduling of passengers' flights to Ushuaia, which prevents them from enjoying the contracted services. In this case, you must provide us with the PNR or LOC code of your flight reservation so we can verify your flight reservation history. After verifying the cancellation or rescheduling of your flight, you will receive a refund of 100%.

Please note that the transaction currency is Argentine pesos, and its value may be subject to taxes, duties, foreign transaction fees, currency exchange fees, or other charges. Your bank or credit or debit card company may convert the payment into our local currency and charge fees, which may cause discrepancies between the amount shown on your credit card charge and the final amount charged to your credit card. Please contact your bank or card company if you have any questions about any applicable conversions or fees.

7. Weather conditions and excursions

Since the weather here can be very changeable from moment to moment, we do not cancel our tours due to rain or anything else that a passenger might consider “bad weather.”

Excursions that include kayaking or sailing in the Beagle Channel are highly dependent on wind conditions. If the tour managers consider the forecasted wind strength too strong to make the planned tours as enjoyable or safe as they should be, they may be modified or even canceled. Only in the case of these excursions (kayaking and sailing) will cancellation of the itinerary entitle you to a refund of 100% of what you paid in Argentine pesos.

8. Security policies

On all tours involving weather exposure or off-route routes, there are sections that guides may modify or cancel if they deem necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of passengers. These modifications are extremely rare and do not entail any claims or refunds.

Under all circumstances, all passengers must follow the guides' instructions.

All tours offered on this site are supervised by Meridion Travel Company SAS and local authorities and comply with all legal and safety requirements.

9. Age restrictions

Children under 18 must travel accompanied by an adult. Regular excursions accept children under 5 years old. In the case of kayaking offered on company excursions, or trekking of any difficulty, these designated activities are not permitted for children under 5 years old. We offer private (tailor-made) services for families with young children.

10. General Requirements

To travel to any foreign country as a tourist, you must have a return ticket to Argentina, and the maximum stay at your destination cannot exceed 90 days (exceptions exist; consult with the corresponding Consulate). You may also be asked for other informal requirements (e.g., sufficient funds to maintain your stay, accommodation address, etc.), which you should consult with the corresponding Consulate.

11. Arbitration Clause

Any issue arising from the execution, performance, non-performance, extension, or termination of this contract may be submitted by the parties to the Arbitration Tribunal of the Argentine Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies and/or the Arbitration Tribunals operating in its Regional Offices. In the event of submission to such jurisdiction, the contracting parties agree to and accept all the conditions established by the Arbitration Tribunal Regulations.

12. Application Rules

This contract and, where applicable, the provision of services shall be governed exclusively by these general conditions, by Law No. 18,829 and its regulations, and by the Brussels Convention approved by Law 19,918. This is without prejudice to the provisions regarding liability for accidents in transportation. These general conditions, together with any other documentation provided to passengers, shall constitute the Travel Contract established by the aforementioned Convention.

13. Jurisdiction and Competence

Any issue arising from the execution, performance, non-performance, extension, or termination of this contract shall be submitted by the parties to the Ordinary Commercial Courts of the Federal Capital.
