Emerald Lagoon It is a glacial body that collects meltwater from the Albino Glacier. It is located at 450 meters above sea level, within an ancient lenga forest, and surrounded by sharply silhouetted mountains, some with hanging glaciers that visitors can admire from a privileged vantage point.

Itinerary details

Begin a very adventurous day together on this exciting trek to Laguna Esmeralda!

Departure from the hotel by land vehicle (20 km) to the trailhead parking area. From there, we begin the hike, crossing peat bogs, streams, and ancient forests of lenga and coihue trees. There's always the chance to spot foxes, condors, and beavers.

Laguna Esmeralda is located in the heart of the Tierra del Fuego Nature and Landscape Reserve. The color of its waters and its geographical location in the heart of the Fuegian mountain range invite us to stop and rest on its shores while enjoying a delicious and nutritious snack and the wonderful scenery.

Finally, we return to the refuge by a different route than the one we took and then return to the hotel.
